PACU RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

• Role: PACU RN
• Location: Midland, Texas
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 12:00–20:30
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start: Within the next 3–5 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience recovering orthopedic patients
• Experience recovering neurological patients
• Experience recovering general surgery patients
• Experience recovering urology patients
• Experience recovering dental patients (adults and pediatrics)
• Experience recovering gynecology patients
• Experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks
• Experience with chest tube insertions
• Experience with central line management

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience
• Experience with all surgeries except hearts
• Critical care experience
• Level II trauma experience

Clinical Experience

• Experience recovering ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental (adults and pediatrics), GYN, and PEDS ENT (T & A, BMT, etc.)
• Experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines

• The assignment is based in PACU and includes coverage in Pre-Op.
