Summary

Provides nursing care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, trauma, or surgery, and responds to neurological changes and seizure activity.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Med Surg experience with 3 years of experience
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Neurology experience

Key Responsibilities

Complete patient assessments and develop, implement, and update plans of care
Document nursing care and patient education
Administer medications using the 5 Rights
Delegate and validate completion of assigned patient care tasks
Maintain patient safety measures, including fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and safe ambulation
Respond to changes in patient status and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
