Physical Therapist

Overview

• Contract assignment in Waimea, Hawaii
• 13 weeks
• 32 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 12:00–1:00 PM lunch
• Must be able to work Saturdays

Role Summary

• Primary duties are PT evaluations and treatments
• Full schedule includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient patients, typically every 30–45 minutes, with one-hour new evaluations
• Typical volume is 5–15 patients per day

Work Setting

• Inpatient settings include acute, ICU, SNF, Med/Surg, and ER
• Outpatient work is hospital-based and extensive
• May occasionally work in OB

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Hawaii
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS

Experience / Practice Expectations

• Must be able to work independently
• Must provide thorough care approaches for outpatient diagnoses
• Must be able to manage acute-to-SNF inpatient mobility progression
• Must have knowledge of discharge planning
