Schedule

• Day shift, 10 hours
• On-call weekdays and weekends

Assignment Details

• Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Works under RN supervision.
• Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and acts as a scrub assistant.
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors/document procedure images and events in the control room.
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and pre- and post-procedure expectations.
• Maintains unit order, cleanliness, and stock levels.
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation and documents productivity information.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ARRT (CV) or ARRT (VI) or RCIS or RCES
• Fluoroscopy Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab
• Associate’s degree
