CV Invasive Specialist

Role Overview

Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures. The role includes patient care under RN supervision, assisting physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as a scrub assistant, operating imaging equipment, and documenting procedure images and events.

Cardiac catheterization laboratory

Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts
• On-call weekdays and weekends

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (CV) or ARRT (VI) or RCIS or RCES
• Fluoroscopy Certification
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab
• Associate’s degree

Additional Notes

• Maintains sterile conditions during clinical procedures
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and pre/post procedure physical conditions
• Maintains unit order, cleanliness, and stock levels
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives
