ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Float Pool: Position involves floating to various ICU and intermediate care units including:

Medical ICU
Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU
Coronary Care Unit
Surgical Trauma ICU (Level 1)
Neuro & Neurosurgery ICU
Critical Care and Intermediate Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID)
Thoracic Cardiovascular Intermediate Unit
Surgical Trauma Intermediate Unit
Neuro & Neurosurgery Intermediate Unit
ED Boarders (patients admitted but boarding in ED prior to room assignment)

Job Description

Must adhere to float pool policy.
Scheduling: Can offer 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Time off: Cannot approve time off for Memorial Day or 4th of July; can approve up to 40 hours for time off.
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
Clinical review and auto offer process applies.
Epic electronic health record experience required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
