Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 8 weeks
• Holidays worked into permanent holiday rotation based on unit coverage
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab which includes Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Must be able to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
• Must be able to interpret EKGs with central telemetry monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 48-bed Neuro Telemetry unit
• Charting system: Cerner with WOWs (Workstations on Wheels)
• Scrub color: Steel gray
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Travel teams must have their own vehicles
• Common diagnoses include trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psychiatric issues, and brain tumors
• First to float to MS/Tele floors, possibly to additional campus locations
• 2 days of floor-specific orientation provided
• Fast-paced, high-turnaround unit with an average length of stay of 4-5 days
• Bedside report required
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The facility features 24/7 respiratory therapy, 24/7 central pharmacy services, and a SWAT RN team available for difficult IV access. The organization maintains high clinical standards with robust support systems in place, including charge nurses, nurse aides, and advanced monitoring capabilities to support a fast-paced and dynamic care environment.
