To become a CVOR travel nurse, individuals must have an active RN license. This requires an associate or a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program, passing the NCLEX-RN and completing state licensing requirements. Certification in Basic Life Support is required and many facilities prefer, and sometimes require, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
