Pros

Being able to work 3-12 hour shifts. Offer of OT and incentive pay.

Cons

Being sent home on scheduled days. Management. Lazy coworkers that management does nothing about. Management more concerned about a tablet, numbers and money than actual patients.

Pros

Nothing

Cons

The leadership displays never ending poor management skills. They are lead by managers with last chance agreements for drug addicts and alcoholics. Understaffing is done by design. They send staff home and work minimum manpower at all times. They are petty and vindictive towards anyone that tries to do right. Either toe the company line or get fired. They don’t care about staff or patients and violate even their own contracts when it suits them. The rules change as they need to fit their own needs. They lie constantly and act with impunity when they want revenge on someone who opposes their wrongdoing. When choosing priorities, they will ignore all of your good work and write you up for conditions they created. If you provide excellent patient care and forget to fill out a refrigerator log, that’s a threat filled write-up. If you work there and decide to leave or put in for transfer, they’ll terminate you immediately on trumped up charges. If a new employer does a verification check, they’ll say bad things about you. Worst of all, they’ll accept the worst of the worst psychiatric patients and allow them to assault staff without consequences. The patients routinely attack staff. You’ll be fired even if you do the minimum defensive action (like pushing an assailant off of you) while trying to save your own life! The patients are told that staff can do nothing to protect themselves. When you get injured (and you will) Acadia/Stonecrest will treat you even worse than before. Work there at your own peril! It’s literally the worst job experience I’ve ever had or witnessed. They have training classes every month, and every month 99% quit. It’s not a coincidence. If government inspectors ever did an undercover investigation, they’d close the place down.

Nurse to patient ratio is 1:14. It’s all about who you work with. Some staff will watch you get attacked. Staff is encouraged to not call the police or press charges on violent patients. Going to your work and leave.
