Responsibilities include proper care and handling of instruments, facilitating room turnover, maintaining sterile techniques, safe handling of sharps, and performing surgical counts as per hospital policy.Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Prepare instruments and equipment for cardiac surgeries.</li> <li>Assist the surgical team during procedures from the scrub position.</li> <li>Maintain sterile technique and ensure safe handling of sharps.</li> <li>Facilitate room turnover between cases.</li> <li>Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under the direction of a registered nurse.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul> <li>NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician.</li> <li>BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY).</li> <li>Two (2) years of recent experience in a cardiac OR.</li> <li>Able to scrub and circulate.</li> <li>Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma preferred.</li></ul>
