RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating to other units required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 2+ years of medical surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS (can be obtained prior to start)
• Active New York nursing license required with NURSYS verification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Care for stroke stepdown patients on 64-bed unit
• Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis patients, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical surgical patients, pneumonia, and pulmonary conditions
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Serve adult patient population
• Block scheduling availability but not guaranteed
