Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Charge RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry unit with day shifts and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Stepdown (PCU/Telemetry) unit
• Charge RN role with responsibilities for oversight and coordination of patient care
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week travel contract
• Patient population consists of stepdown/telemetry level patients

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent relevant experience in Stepdown, PCU, or Telemetry
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in specialty preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• References required according to state-specific guidelines
• US Social Security Number and Date of Birth required for consideration
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (no local candidates accepted)

Additional Information

• Serve as Charge RN, overseeing RN and support staff workflows, delegation, and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and advocate for patient safety
• Must provide copies of certifications and licensure documentation as part of compliance
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled by unit needs
