Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of recent telemetry experience, a KS or Compact RN license, and availability for night shifts with every other weekend rotation.

Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three shifts per week
• Hospital telemetry unit serving a general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, and spine patient population
• Common diagnoses include cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
• RN-to-patient ratio of 5:1
• Proficiency with Heparin drips, TPN, PCA pumps, and telemetry rhythm interpretation required
• EMR: Epic
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Floating required to all acute care units

Requirements

• Active KS RN or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience in a hospital setting (within the last 18 months)
• Experience with Heparin drips, TPN, PCA pumps, and telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Two professional references required for consideration
• New graduates will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation begins on-site at the main campus (Monday NEO); orientation schedule spans five days including campus-based clinical orientation, Director of Nursing training, and virtual Epic training
• This is a nicotine-free facility
• Local and travel candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the Great Bend campus location are subject to a radius restriction
• Time-off requests between June 11 and July 19 (World Cup period) may not be approved; candidates with RTO during this window should plan accordingly
