Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position in Asheville, NC, requiring at least 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience and NRP certification.

Details

• 51-bed Level III NICU within a children's hospital at an 815-bed acute care regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4 depending on acuity
• Unit staffed with 18 RNs, 1 charge RN, and 2 RTs per shift
• Charting via Cerner EMR
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required to Peds, PICU, and Mother Baby (babies only)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card) required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. and NIC-RNC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level III or higher NICU experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• The facility is an HCA Healthcare facility and serves as the only Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and children's hospital in western North Carolina
• Detail-oriented and organized candidates are the best fit for this unit
• Navy blue scrubs required
