Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Oklahoma City, requiring a minimum of one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.
Details
- Position is in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting is required for this unit
Requirements
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact/eNLC) required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of 1 year of CVICU nursing experience required
- CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for managing an assigned group of pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, including monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and intervening as clinically indicated
- Collaborates with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans and discharge information with patients and families
- Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after completing 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension) before being eligible for a new contract
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be initiated promptly after acceptance — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
