Job Title: RN Oncology Infusion Clinic - Adult
Location: Oklahoma
Employment Type: Not specified
Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and other medications, documenting patient responses, assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring patient physiological data, educating patients and families about chemotherapy, delegating tasks to support staff, and coordinating patient follow-up activities.
Required Qualifications:
• 1 year of experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate - Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
