RN - Rehab

Location

  • Madison, Wisconsin

Job Type

  • Travel
  • 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM or 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotations
  • Call required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS
  • Rehabilitation (1 year of experience)
  • Rehabilitation experience within the last year
  • Experience in an Inpatient Rehab setting
  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing setting
  • Med Surg experience
  • Experience with Epic

Unit Details

  • Inpatient rehab specialty
  • Adult patients with high-acuity rehabilitation needs
  • 49-bed unit
  • Patient ratio: 1:7
  • May be required to float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes in the near future

Work Environment

  • High-acuity inpatient rehab setting that functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit
  • Nurses assist CNAs and answer call lights for patient safety

Additional Notes

  • Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift unless approved by the supervisor
  • Two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift
  • Staff may not stay past shift end without approval from the house supervisor
