Registered Nurse - CVICU Pediatrics
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse, Direct Care
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Provide nursing care under general supervision to pediatric patients in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a Level I trauma setting. Responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned group of patients and documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
- Assisting physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary.
- Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Communicating care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
- Referring patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegating tasks to support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
- Experience working with pediatric patients in a CVICU setting
- Experience in a Level I Trauma setting
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Experience in an Inpatient setting
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Must be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior travel experience is not specified or required.
