RN Perioperative Circulator - Adult Surgery

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse - Direct Care
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift:

• 0630 AM to 1700 PM
• Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
• Trauma call and holiday shifts required
  Hours per Week: 40 hours
  Hours per Day: 10 hours

Job Summary

The Perioperative Circulator RN plans, coordinates, delivers, and evaluates nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. This role requires applying clinical knowledge and judgment to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients in the perioperative environment. The nurse is responsible for both direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room and must document all care components using the nursing process. Patient care is individualized based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of OR Circulate experience within the last year
• Experience in an acute care setting
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Excellent understanding of AORN Standards
• Perioperative nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a board-approved program
• CNOR certification

• Must be able to work trauma call and holiday shifts
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
• Performs other duties as assigned within the perioperative nursing scope
