Job Summary

• Hospital-based Med Surg/Telemetry nursing role with telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
• Patient population includes telemetry, post-op surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients.
• Unit has 16 beds with a 5:1 ratio.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Orthopedics experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Driver's License
• Drip experience with Insulin
• Drip experience with Cardizem
• Drip experience with Heparin
• Drip experience with Amiodarone
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Telemetry experience
• EPIC charting experience

Clinical Skills / Experience

• Ability to read and measure telemetry strips
• Experience with insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone drips
