Hours per Week: 36

Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) with 12 beds
Patient Ratio: Standard ICU ratio of 1 RN to 2 patients (may vary with acuity)
Staffing: Includes 1 dayshift secretary; primary RN staffing
Equipment: Standard critical care equipment plus Impella heart pump and Hemosphere advanced monitoring platform
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Participative scheduling with minimum 3 weekend shifts per month; block scheduling not guaranteed
Floating: Must float to other units such as PCU and Medical-Surgical as needed
Critical Care Team: Responds to rapid responses and code blue events
Dress Code: Navy scrubs required

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nurses are expected to explain care and medications clearly, treat patients with courtesy and respect, and respond promptly to call lights
Travelers are subject to floating within the facility to cover staffing needs
The unit is designated to respond to rapid responses and code blue situations

This position is ideal for experienced critical care RNs with cardiac ICU expertise seeking a travel assignment in a high-acuity ICU setting.
