Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

• Unit: PC2 Progressive Care (PCU)
• Number of Beds: 345
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5 (varies by unit and shift)
• Staff: Float pool of about 80 staff members, including RNs and CNAs on day and night shifts
• EMR System: Meditech
• Patient Population: Large cardiac population, including telemetry floors and PCU
• Floating: Required to float to inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• Telemetry experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong telemetry experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Chemotherapy certification (preferred, for potential scheduling on Oncology unit)
