Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Fishers, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Shift Details

• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• 4 shifts per week (40 hours/week)
• On-call required: 10-11 days per month, including weekends

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Licensure & Documentation

• Indiana RN license must be verified online within 30 days before start date
• Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy)
• Background checks required within 90 days of start, including:

  • 7-year residential/work history verification
  • SSN Trace, County Criminal, Statewide, National Sex Offender, FACIS Level III
  • Education verification (highest applicable degree)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Transcript or diploma (official copy) required
• Employment application covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Minimum 2 professional references from recent employment with supervisory titles

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask test within 12 months with approved respirators (3M N95 models or Honeywell N95)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months (no instant tests)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Rubeola (Measles): positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations)
  • Mumps: positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations)
  • Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations)
  • Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations, history not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: series, titer, or signed declination required
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: strongly recommended (preferred)
• Tuberculosis screening within 1 year (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT)
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for flu season (9/30 - 3/31)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents and orientation packets prior to start
• HIPAA Acknowledgement updated annually
• Compliance with facility-specific background and competency checklists
• Must be an Indiana resident or local; note that Indiana RN travelers (except Periop/OR, Allied, Ambulatory RN travelers) will not be allowed to work past 11/30/2024 at these facilities

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
• Perioperative and certain specialty RNs are exempt from the Indiana RN restriction effective 11/30/2024; this role is Cath Lab RN, so confirm eligibility accordingly
