Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Santa Monica, California
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (beachside)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a STEMI and Stroke receiving center with 4 cath labs.
• Support multiple specialties including cardiac, electrophysiology (EP), venous thromboembolism (VTE) thrombectomy, interventional neuro, interventional radiology (IR), TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, MitraClip, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, and diagnostic and interventional neuro.
• Float between specialties within the cath lab as needed.
• Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
• On-call required:

  • Weekdays: 5:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Weekends/Holidays: 24-hour coverage
  • Approximately 10-14 call shifts within a 42-day schedule.
• Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; provided for L&D/OR/Cath Lab staff.
• Parking available with associated costs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification
• Fluoroscopy Permit
• Experience with stroke cases
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR)

• Start date: ASAP.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion.
• Total staffed beds: 266.

Note: Experience with electrophysiology or structural heart procedures is not required; stroke and interventional radiology experience is preferred.
