Required Qualifications

BLS
ACLS
2 years of experience in the specialty
Level 1 trauma experience
Ability to titrate Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin drips
Ability to interpret EKG
Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam before acceptance
Ability to complete day 1 pass/fail onboarding skills validation

Additional Considerations

First-time travelers are welcome
Will consider Level 2 trauma experience
Must have been away from CommonSpirit as permanent staff for 12 months to be eligible
Cannot work another assignment or contract at the same time
Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
Must have own vehicle if traveling as a team
Men must be clean shaven for fit test
Floating may include Med/Surg Tele units and possibly Westgate or AZ General Laveen
Charge nurse role includes a light patient assignment
Weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
Unit uses central monitoring
No vents on the unit
RT and pharmacy are available 24/7
Floor orientation is 2 days
Common patient types include trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psych issues, and brain tumor
