If you are in the ER, you are moving non-stop sometimes alone with a tech assistant. If you are on portables there are also many to do. I liked that there were many options for lunch, co-workers were happy to work as team, and the supervisors were very accommodating with your requested schedule. The only con is it is a very busy hospital so be prepared to be on your feet all day, but that makes the shift go by faster and you are paid what you're worth.

Very busy, doctors and fellows great to work with. Techs SUPER helpful since ZERO staff RNs in department! Supervisor rarely around and will change schedule after posted-without notice!

They cut my rate after I had already signed a contract and secured housing. They claim to have mysteriously lost it. The work environment is toxic. Upper management/leadership is non- existent and refused to address my issues or help me find answers.

Don’t do it

Travelers out number employees in every department. They still don’t have enough help for all the patients they see. It is ran poorly. Everyone I met hated their jobs. It’s a shame because you can see some pretty interesting cases there and learn a lot.
