Special Procedures Tech - Radiology

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

Department: Interventional Radiology
Facility has 1 IR suite and 4 holding bays
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 2 techs and 2-3 RNs
- Night Shift: 1 tech and 1 RN on call
Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 (not guaranteed)
Equipment: GE Allura
EMR Systems: Meditech, Centricity PACS
On-call required during the week and weekend rotation

Typical Procedures

Lung, liver, kidney biopsies
Port/line placements and drain placements
Paracentesis and thoracentesis
Kyphoplasty
Sedation for MRI/CT imaging

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
At least 1 year of Special Procedures Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT Certification
BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

Critical care experience
Expert knowledge of vascular procedures

Work Environment & Culture

Strong team player required
Ability to work well in a busy environment
Magnet facility with very low nursing turnover
Location offers access to mountain and urban activities
